About MANGO
Although Mango’s business layout might sound similar to other fashion retailers, the brand is clear on the fact that it doesn’t see itself as a fast-fashion brand – at least not since 2019 when Mango managed to increase revenues to a record high.
During 2019, Mango expanded not only in its store numbers and franchises, but also across its product categories. That resulted in the brand approaching trends and presenting them to shoppers in the best (and not necessarily fastest) way possible.
The result? A worldwide fashion brand that’s more daring with its design, yet also committed to better value for money.
The history of MANGO
Punto Fa, S.L., also known as Mango, was founded in 1984 in Barcelona, Spain by brothers Isak and Nahman Andic. With their first clothing store for women (in the picturesque Paseo de Gracia) a success, the duo decided to branch out – and 12 months later their brand boasted five outlets in Barcelona, and no fewer than 13 in the entire Spain by 1988.
To benefit from the technological age, Mango created its first website in 1995 – but it would be another five years before the brand would open its first digital store focused on selling clothing online.
As the company progressed and opened more branches in the UK (like Edinburgh) and outside of Europe (such as South Africa, Russia, etc.), the brand also created its first men’s line in 2008 (which was renamed Mango Man in 2014).
In order to widen its target audience, Mango launched its teen line (Mango Teen) in 2020 via a pop-up shop in Barcelona. Met with overwhelming success, the line also became available on Mango’s online clothing store.
Today, Mango (which remains a 100% family owned company) is still regarded as one of the leading fashion groups worldwide.
So, you’re happy with those fresh online catalogues and product brochures from Mango being promoted on Tiendeo, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some extra perks on the brand’s official website.
Like the Mango Shopping App which you can use to keep tabs on your Mango shopping, as a barcode scanner in physical clothing stores, to locate other Mango branches near you, to create and update your wish list, and much more.
Or, if you’re not sure whether to get jewellery, a quilted jacket or sneakers for someone’s birthday, rather treat them to a Gift Voucher and let them choose their unique Mango gift themselves.
And whether its Black Friday, Christmas, Mothers Day or just a regular winter sale, Mangos Special Days section lets you in on the newest product promotions, secret sales, and other goodies.
